Family Tragedy: I-25 Accident Takes Mother’s Life, Injures Father and Children
Last Sunday, at about 11:20 AM, a Colorado City family suffered a tragic car accident on I-25 just south of Pueblo, Colorado. State troopers have issued statements that a Chrysler Town and Country minivan carrying a married couple and their four children was traveling northbound on I-25 when the driver drifted into the center median. The driver overcorrected and lost control of the car.
Troopers say the van rolled into the median and two of the children, an 8-year-old and an 11-year-old (both girls), were not restrained and were thrown from the car. Even worse, 36-year-old Nicole Clemans has lost her life in the accident.
Nick Bonham at The Pueblo Chieftan reports on the status of the children and husband:
Driver Aaron Falke, 32, a 6-week-old boy and girls ages 6, 8 and 11 years were treated at Parkview Medical Center.
Falke was hospitalized serious injuries, according to a news release.
The infant had moderate injuries and the three girls minor injuries.
